TRANPORT. UNITED KINGDOM
The Ipswich and Cambridge councils are searching partners to a Civitas Plus Project ("Air quality problems around the Waterfront").
The transport strategy seeks to address these problems and to cater for the expected growth in a more sustainable way.
We will introduce better management of scarce road space and control parking to improve air quality and bring about a step change in the levels of walking cycling and public transport use.
At the core of the proposal are two linked packages of integrated transport measures:
- There will be a sustainable transport package aimed at new residential and employment developments in the Waterfront and the Education Quarter. This will tackle transportgrowth at source.
- A second integrated package focused on the town centre will transform public transport and promote sustainable travel for work, business and leisure travel into central Ipswich.
The project will be take place over 7 years starting in 2008.

CULTURE. PORTUGAL
The Municipality of Alcobaça is searching partners for the IX Internacional show of Conventual Confectionery and Liquors.
The show of conventual confectionery and liquors will take place inside the Monastery of Alcobaça, classified as Heritage of all Humanity. There are 35 paticipating entities, between them, pastry shops and convents of Portugal, products of convents from Spain and France (sold by the Gemination Comité). This year the number of visitors exceeded 150 000 people, nationals and foreign tourists. The event was applauded by all visitors, participants and media. We highlight a two hour, satellite live television broadcast to the whole world.
Calendar:
Until June 2007: send participation form.
Until August 2007: confirm participation.
In November 2007: participation in the event.

The aim is the introduction of creative and formative activities related to ITC in centers for senior citizens, so that they spend their spare-time in an active and productive way
